Vines
Vines can be used for narrow areas, hiding and screening, shading a patio cover, or even as a groundcover.
Some climb by twining, or with tendrils, or by clinging. Some need to be tied up for support. Vines can be trellised, or shrubs and small trees can be espaliered on a trellis to function quite like a vine. Use espaliers to hide a fence, a wall, a large air conditioning unit, or plant one in a narrow foundation planter against the house.
